I'm not aware of any of them being worth more money than others. However, you want to pick up any Chevy passenger car Q-Jets from 1967 through 1980 (avoid the truck carbs). These can all be used for performance applications. Some Vette owners will pay a premium for carbs that were used on Vettes if the dates are correct for their application. Most "Vette" carbs, however, were also used on Camaro and Nova, so not many are unique to the Vette application.
The following carbs are Corvette and Chevy passenger car carbs used in performance applications. Any of these carbs can be used on a Vette, and any one of them can be set up to perform identically to any other one. If you need more numbers, let me know:
It seems 71 Q-Jets were corvette specific as well. I know for my s/b the 7041212 was not easy to find and I've read that the 71 454 7041205 are equally rare......add the correct date code and your talking big $.
OK, I have one of those 7041212 with the intake and the TCS Solenoid off my '71 and I was wondering what something like that was worth. Can you give me some idea what they go for?

Type the number into the Ebay search bar and see what comes up. I dont have eBay access at work or I'd do it.....
I'm going to bring a list of numbers to look for. Some of the ones I looked at yesterday needed dust/dirt/grime wiped off the numbers. That tells me they havent been gone over too thouroughly.

The 1975+ truck carbs have primary metering rods with .036" diameter power tips, as opposed to the passenger car carbs which have .026" power tips. This dramatically alters WOT performance and mixture. Problem is, you cannot get the .026" tipped rods from any source - they have been discontiued by GM, and they are not offered by Edelbrock (the EDL rods are the "M"-series truck rods). So although the carbs can be changed, you can't get the parts to do so unless you have a nice stash of passenger car rods for the 75+ carbs (not the same as the rods for 1967-74).
so how much is big bucks? i maaaayyyyy have one sitting on a shelf down here in the basement right now.
I guess "big bucks" is relative to the average price of a Qjet but over the last few years I have seen maybe 5 at most on ebay and they all went for between $500-$800...there is one guy that keeps trying to sell one on ebay but he has a reserve of $1000...so he never sells it

Good to know. I have a quadrajet that you rebuilt for SIGNGUY that I think may be a truck carb. 17059206 Do you remember if you changed the rods?

If you give me the name of the person I rebuilt it for, I can look up my records on that carb. I keep all my notes and specs on every carb I have ever rebuilt, so I can tell you exactly how it was set up when I shipped it. V8FastCars@msn.com
