Default What year coupe is this?

Tailights say 71 but this is not allways true. It's a white coupe. It's on a lift so I can't look inside.Side gills look 70.Front grill is metal and is silver. The parking lights in the grill are clear with orange blubs. This is one of those Vettes that rich guy on the Island is buying. The 78SA for $30,000 and the 67 427 black coupe that I got the #'s for and posted it on the C2 site. That car is very interesting. It is also up on a rack so I've been all over the bottom side. You can eat off it!!!It has those alum. rims with Firestone redlines that are more than likley repos.

'70 and '71 had clear parking light lenses and amber bulbs. '72 had amber lenses and clear bulbs. VIN number will tell year by the code. Check AIM manual, etc. for that info. Frame being clean doesn't necessarily indicate what condition "hidden" metal areas are in. The birdcage might be "toast". Outside view is only part of the story. The co$tlie$t "story" is on the inside.

P.S. The front grill frames had studs rather than screws in '70. In '71, GM went to using screws to hold the frames on to the bodywork. If no screws on grill frames, its a '70.

It has screws for the grill so does that mean 71-72.It's up on a rack so I can't get any #'s.I've got to take my Vette in mon. so I'll see if it's off the rack.

some late 70's have screws so it depends on production date.

Understand that vehicle was up on the rack. If it is still there when you return with your vehicle, take pix if possible.

It will still be there.I'll take pictures but you will have to walk me through the posting.I've got a digital that plugs into my computer. It will still be on the rack so let me know what you want me to shoot.I know one thing it's original. The bumpers need help and the metal piece that is below the pass side door needs replacing. It's kinda of tired looking but it's all there and can be a DD real easy.

From your description, its a '71 (clear park lamp lenses; screw mounted grill frames). The VIN number will finalize it.
