Default Quick repair

Just as our Corvette run was begining this morning, I noticed my fan shroud had broke at previous owners er,..glue job....

So,I found a tie wrap,and secured it....time to get a new shroud....

I think the plastic tie looks pretty cool.

When I first noticed it, I checked my motor mounts.. .then remembered it was glued by PO....

That reminds me of a car I got....half the frontend was stiched together with zip ties.
They had drilled holes and fed zip ties in like thread.

On one of my old speedway cars years ago, the fan shroud was cracked in numerous places and I couldn't justify the expense of a new one so I drilled a row of small holes either side of the cracks and "stitched" the crack together with lockwire!

It never came undone

you could drive that car 10 years with that repair. Goop it up with some epoxy for extra holding power

I have some Vantico Fastweld 10....that will do the trick....better than $300-$400 for new shroud...
