Can someone tell me what years GM had the good old case hardening (worn lobes) issues with the cams???? 350CI motor.

I had an 85 GMC 4 bolt with two lobes that were toast. That motor is now a 383 in my 73

Exhaust lobes?? Or both??? front or rear of the cam???

My folks bought a Camaro new in '79 that had one go flat under warranty. I think it was a 305 though...

Intake and exhaust I know it was in the front cylinders. But don't remember if it was #1 or #2 cyl.
