doesn't weigh much. It's just 2 brake shoes, a lever, a pivot bolt, a couple of springs, retainer clips, abchors and springs, the cables, tension spring, splitter/center guide, forward calbe, guide wheel and handle. (pfew!!) easy to take off. You also won't need the backing plates (since you don't need the retainer anchors)
