Has anyone found any strange items either under the carpet, under the Park Brake Console or Center Console..etc?
The reason I ask is this:
I have found 3 iginition switches in my '76! One under the Center Console, one under the carpet by the drivers seat and one under the carpet behind the right rear wheel! All were still in a sealed plastic bag!!
Now I know that the carpet has never been removed and is the original since it has the sticker from a company in Ga. E.T. Barwick Mills with the yea, make & model and also was down pretty good in the car. Just wondering!

In any case, when I put new carpet in this winter, I found a what I think is a poloriod of some GM workers posing in frount of what might be my car on the assembly line... who knows, but I thought it was a pretty cool find.
I found a spare key under the rubber boot around the fill neck of the gas tank. It had been there for years. I also found a flashlight and tooth pick under the seat wahooo.. lol
I found about 3 bucks in change, Mouse poop, a roach (smoking kind), toothpicks, lost interior screws, pine needles, a french fry. I believe that was it. It's a 79 so I can only imagine what the older cars can produce.

I just removed my carpet this past weekend and found a shotgun shell, lock button and a spare key that does not fit my vehicle but must have at one point prior to the removal of the doors and steering column

Just a side Note, All Switches also had 1 Key with them.... very strange!
Found an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workes (New York) T-Shirt bunched up under the bent seat track!!! Nice shim huh?? He also left me nearly $10.00 in change in and around the seats & retractor wells. Also left me the original leather seat covers...undisturbed....UNDER the new seat covers. Glad I rescued that car from Bubba...
