Default Stroker - update [pics]

Installed oil pan and timing chain cover, water pump is next on the list. I can't decide between standart chrome pulleys and a serpentine system, for now I just spray bombed the stock pulleys...

This hole - the one with the bolt sticking out - seems to be for a oil pressure gauge - on my old engine the pressure is on the side of the block and this hole (on top) is plugged. Any advantage using the one on top or the other ???

You are using the short block with the RPM internals, aren't you? Do the parts appear to be quality parts?

I got the short block from MandRengines in CA. They sell on Ebay but seem to be a 'brick and motar' business ... they get their parts from RPM (RacePartsMax.com) .. most of that stuff is made in China, when you google racepartsmax you'll find their JointVenture company in China.... well.... China forging is still better than cast so I guess I'll wait and see. I'm pretty much convinced that the name brand stuff, maybe except Callis, is all made overseas anyways.... just the box is different....

Yea, i've been told thats a more accurate location for oil pressue - something to do with press up there is futher down the oil gallys more realistic than next to the oil pmp (on the side of block near filter casting).

Well the block looks great. U must be having fun bolting on all the goodies now.

Good luck.
