Default Online vendor comaprison...

I have a laundry list of small parts that need replacing or are missing. Only 3 of the vendors have all the items I need.

The items are:
Brake hoses (4)
Rear caliper lines (2) *X*
Caliper bracket bolts (8)
Speedo cable
trans interlock cable
interlock cable brackets
speedo cable grommet
battery cables pr.
vacuum hose kit
hose kit trouble shooter
brake line clip set
fuel pump hoses
gas line pump to carb
brake carb vacuum line
rear brake crossover line *X*
brake line kit *Z*

Ecklers w/ *X* $449
Corvette Central w/ *X* $474
Corvette America w/ *X* $454

Ecklers w/ *Z* $534
Corvette Central w/ *Z* $544
Corvette America w/ *Z* $537

I'm screwed w/ Ecklers because I have to pay sales tax and shipping. I'm going to research thses parts a bit more and probably split up my order.

Websites:
Ecklers, by far, has the best website. Nice drop downs. Easy to find parts quickly.
Corvette Central sucks. Search querries are too broad.
Zip: OK but cannot 'lock' year when searching. didnt have everything I need.
Mid America: Broad searches doesnt have selection like Ecklers, CC or CA.
Corvette America: OK but lots of duplicate results.

I've noticed there isnt equality in the parts. Battery cables for instance, Ecklers positive cable has a pigtail on it. Obviously not OEM style for my '70 but a generic to cover all years. Some speedo cables are AC Delco brand others dont say.

Peace,
Jim

Tampa is not all that far from Titusville, take a drive, that will get you out of the house and out of paying shipping. I have found it necessary to order from several vandors to get all the stuff I wanted, delivered to the door it evens things out a bit.

PriceatZIP....I only listed what I could find on the website....I couldnt find my speedometer cable (4speed not auto), interlock cable brackets, headlight/wiper vacuum kit and full brake line kit on the website. I see you do list the vacuum kit but i couldnt find it......

I know Ecklers is just across the way. It would cost me the same to drive over gas=shipping. Besides if I want to get out there's always VanSteel and VBP in Tampa/St. Pete/clearwater.

My list will grow as I continue to go over my car.

Yes, and Paragon. Paragon has most of the items I need. Like others have said, I'll probably split my order up based on what
I perceive as being better parts from the various vendors.

I thought it was interesting, but expected, that 3 of the big vendors were so close in price.

The speedometer cable I listed is the same one you need if you are looking for a one piece cable. The description says "auto" because it also fits certain automatic years. I'm going to have that changed tonight to be more clear.

Dream on. I have made that trip, and found out the items seem to always be made elsewhere. Unless it is stuff for a new Corvette, it probably has to be drop shipped from somewhere.

Don't waste your gas driving to Eckler's to save shipping, because then you will just have a gas bill, too.

I just put in very large orders to both Zip and Paragon, split 2 to 1. These two were the best overall. Some of the others had a few items that were less expensive, but I would have not had the 10% discounts applied, and shipping for just a few items is $$.
