Default Engine Identification

I am trying to ID my engine in my 79. The previous owner had told me that it was a GM create engine from scoggin-dickey. And at the time I was a little star struck buying my first vette so i had not paid attention. The heads have an SD part number on them and I have tried their TS but have not received an answer. The heads are SD2185 and have the GM part number 10088113. Which I believe makes them l98 heads. The block has 2M03046V on the ID block in frt of the head on the passenger side. not sure on the last two numbers as the eyes are kinda old. I would like to do some mods but need to know where I am starting from.

You are correct; not a Corvette engine. 0304 is the engine assembly date (March 4th). I'm not familiar with the plant code (M), but I think it indicates Mexico.
