I purchased my 77 L-82 last fall and was able to drive it a couple of times before the weather put an end to it (I live in South Dakota) The weather finally cooperated and I was able to take it out for the first time yesterday
I contacted the mechanic who did the work on the vette for the previous owner. He said they used Kendall oil 10-30 or 5-30 depending on the season.
This car will just be a weekend driver for me, so I envision I will only change the oil yearly since I doubt I will put on more than 2,000 miles in a summer. So I am wondering what weight oil I should put in and if it is ok if I change the brand of oil, or if I should continue using Kendall.
