The reason I am posting this here is because I have gotten e mails and messages from this site. Yes,the tool box is homemade. No,there arnt any kits or plans for it. Its sized ( a direct rip off) from the big Kolbalt tool box at Lowes. ( by the way,,its going non-stock so you in need of a tool box, keep your eye out) Its pine, cost under 200 bucks to build. It will hold all the tools you need to get that vette running right. Anyone can build this box.The biggest expense is the drawer handles. Takes about 100 hours to build. I want no money..will give futher info for free...put your money in your vette, not a dealers. The book I used to help build this cost about 20 bucks at any book store. thanks.
I do a little woodworking and know how tedious a job it is to make all those drawers, the most I've done is on a jewelry box for the Mrs. The chest looks great and I'm sure it is a great source of pride. Unfortunately, I need my time to work on the vette, so for now the Craftsman box will have to do!
I saw your box a while back and meant to comment, Very Nice work. I do a bit of that myself and know what it takes to turn out something like that.
Rather apaling how much the hardware costs huh? I just built an outdoor kitchen and have something like $400 in drawer slides and hinges, used blind handles.
Anyways, Nice work!
