I splashed some tranny fluid on my car cover...Not sure of the brand of the cover, but its a higher end one. Couple spots it got it got it pretty good. Any ideas on cleaning it? Can it be dried cleaned, or can it just be run thru the washer?

Do you still have the packaging or at least know the manufacturer? I would suggest looking on their site or checking with them directly. They will have washing instructions available, as you are probably not the first person ever to need to wash their cover.
P.S. I usually run mine through the washing machine.
I have an old motor oil stain on my Mid America car cover. After spraying is well with fabric stain remover, I ran it through the washer using regular laundry detergent. It came out fine, but a faint motor oil stain remained. No matter, it is now clean. I don't see how running it through the washer can hurt, unless a tag on it says otherwise.
I agree with D_boy. Check web site or call the manufacturer. Do the wrong thing and the stain is permanent...or worse! If you just don't know who made the cover, I think the hand cleaner idea is a good one (sugar beet stuff dissolves grease really well and is water soluble after you're done).

I have washed mine once a few years ago. I am thinking of taking it down to the laundry mat and putting it in their machine that is setup for big loads. Wash it in cold water and dry it on the lowest setting in their dryer till it is slightly damp.

i had trouble putting my wolf cover in my washer.... tore the cover by the windshield worse than it was already. also messed up my washing machine by being heavy on one side once wet. then when it spun out it chewed up the tub a bit on the edge. (pieces of fiberglass or plastic hanging off the edge) be smart and check things out first then if its ok. use a landry mat!!!

Go to the laundermat and use the 75 lb washer. DO NOT USE THE DRYER! I ruined a cover with the dryer on the lowest setting, the thing will stay in one spot and it will melt in that spot in the basket. (a nice little bumpy pattern that is hard and scratches the paint!) Now I use the 75 lb washer and bring it home damp and use 6 patio chairs to strech across and let it air dry.
Instructions with my Max Tech cover (similar to wolf/NOAH, generic from Corvette America) says to wash in a NON-AGITATING washer and to use liquid Fantastic, not regular laundry detergent. This also helps to resotre some of the water repelency. Haven't tried yet so can't comment.
The directions for mine which is a 3 part cloth cover says that it can be washed, but you don't rinse it and it is to air dry. I did this and it came out like new again.
