Default Engine - some progress....

I had to modify the Summit engine cradle a little so that the engine and the trans fit....



Installed flywheel and clutch:



and the bellhousing:



oh yes, the old engine is out:

For those who are interessted:
this is the cheap engine cradle from Summit. I cut the rear vertical section of square tubing off and re-welded it horizontally, extending the whole frame towards the tranny. I then added two pieces for stability and two additional castors.. I'm going to add a support for the trans once I've determined the correct location.

I'll have to add two engine supports that bolt to the side of the block, there's a 3/8" threaded hole on each side of the block. Right now I'm using a temporary support under the oil pan (from HomeDepot's
shelving dept.)

This thing is perfect to store an old engine and trans, cost less than $60





.

Thanks, it's not dead yet, it's in a deep coma... I'll wake it up once I'm done with the stroker.
