THEIVES stole everything! At least they left the shocks.
Nah just bored right now. I'm putting in Dragvettes 6 link right now. I have one of the first 4 that he made for the dual mount spring. I have most of it in right now just need to do some adjusting now. I should be done this weekend. I'll post some pictures of the install.
No I meant I was bored so that is why I posted a picture. I did not take it apart because I was bored.
I took it apart to get in the 6 link. I had to get the pumpkin out to mount the brackets and I took off the axle clips so I had to get the rear cover off.
Here is where I'm at know
So you need to remove the yoke c clips as part of this install?
Steve told me this was recomended to do. In his video it does not mention removal of the clips. They are definitly not needed as the upper link is now the stressed link instead of the halfshaft. I'll ask tomorrow as I need to talk to him about something else.
I'm saving weight by removing the clips!
I wonder why they don't cut some of the meat out of those plates that hold the spring? They most weight 20 pounds each.
Did you change out the trailing arms too?
They are big but the support the car and they are bent at an angle so they are a stressed member. They probably weigh in at about 7 to 8 pounds would be my guess. I still am using the stock trailing arms. Mine are in good shape so no reason to swap them out. If I do ever change I will go with the double offset arms.
In this picture they moved the outside attachment point of the lower tie rod to the higher location. How does that bracket that it is attached to keep from rotating. It looks like the only attachment point of the bracket is the old location of the tie rod and I thought that was just a round bolt. Sorry if the question isn't clear.

That axle loop is fastened to the trailing arm at the top, along with another locating link that ties the top of the loop to a plate bolted to the diff cover at the top.

That is a nice looking setup. Make sure you give us some feedback on how it works out when you get it all together and running again. My buddy, TNBUSA, is probably going to have to wind up doing something like this at some point.
Here is a good picture of the upper mount of the loop. There is a piece of aluminum under the bolts that gets sandwiched and it is bolted through the trailing arm. You have to drill 2 holes in the arm for it to mount. The empty bigger hole is where the upper link mount. I'll have a picture of that later.

I'm going to make another post once it is done and put these and some other pictures in. I'll tell about the install. So far no major issues at all.
