LOL, I had rats in the attic here for a while but I thnk I got ri of them, used the Rat Cakes from home Depot, about $50 worth of them. Room mate called me once, said the AC was broke at the house, I get home and found a BBQ'd tree frog on the contactor, he roasted and them burned off the wires.
Hey tall boy, I agree with ya on the pack rat thing. One showed up at our place one day and all these plants started disappearing and there was rat crap under every hood of every car, pickup, truck, tractor on the place and talk about stink, yuk. We tried rat traps, rat cakes, live traps and nothing worked until my neighbor showed up one day with his "secret" ingredient poked in some little pieces of cheese, 24 hours and no more rat!
i probably should rip my seats out some time and see whats going on under there.

I strongly advise you to check your heater box fresh air plenum. That's the area down in the pasngr side wiper well. (draws fresh air) Both my 77 and 72 had nesting material (mostly firewall insulation) food, etc in there. A rubber hose taped to a shop vac nozzel got down in there and sucked out a ton!!! Also pulled out more when I restored the heater box cover...
