The last 5 numbers should indicate what number yours was in the production run. Mine was #726- very early. Yours is #17331 out of a total of 38762 according to my Black Book.

Depends. Your's is sort of in the middle.

There is no cut off date/VIN number. Some "early" 69 features persist into August/September 69 production. Chuck

Your car was built in Feb, a little less than half way through the production run. Other than in what order they rolled out of the factory, cars are not early or late but specific parts on the car. Through production, as new, redesigned parts were introduced both were usually used on the assembly line until the old ("early") parts were all installed so that there is a vin range where both the early a late specific part would be correct. Parts changes occured at different times. For some parts the change may have been early in the production run where other parts changes may have been late. Many cars will have a mix of "early" and "late" parts. A car built very early in the production run may have "late" parts because the part change occured very soon after prodcution began. Cars made in the last few months can have "early" parts because the change happend late. The best place to find what is correct for your car is the NCRS Judging Manual.
