So, I picked up a pair of OEM Valve covers for my 454, had them chemically stripped, repainted them , replaced all the grommets and oil cap also got the plug wire holders. And now they wont fit because of the drip rails. This is unF'inbelievable. They will look good hanging on the wall or I will make a flower pot out of them.

If those rocker arm covers are for your '72 Corvette in your avatar, these are not the correct style covers for your application.
1972 GM rocker arm covers for a Corvette application do not have the slant in the end cover as yours are. They also use different spark plug wire stancions that are located on the covers in different areas than those that you have currently.
If your intent is to use the correct original style covers, you need to keep looking as those are far from correct in appearance.
Dr. G, early shark is correct. There should only be one spark plug wire loom in the center toward the rear of the valve cover that holds all four wires. Then there are four individual wire holders along the lower edge of the valve cover.
That is what the correct valve cover for a 1972 454 Corvette looks like.

By the way, if you have power brakes, there will be a slant on the left cover to clear the booster. Otherwise there won't be any slant.

That brings up a question on my 74 - 454 with power brakes. It does not have the "slant" at the rear of the drivers side cover. Is this correct for a 74 model? There is no clearence problem between the booster and the cover.

According the the Corvette 1968-1982 Restoration Guide 1973-1974 driver-side big blocks have "a small flat indentation" on the inner front while the "outter rear corner is recessed to provide clearance for the power brake booster".
so adding the plug wire holders made them to small? can you grind the offending part of?
They are not tall enough, because of the drip rails(I think) either way, they wont sit flush on the head. I checked for warpage on a flat surface.

I am not to concerned about keeping it original, I like they way they look on the car.
If it is a late GM crate BB, the heads have a "net lash" system for the rockers. This may be causing your interference, as it locates the rocker using a bolt instead of a stud and nut. Drippers shouldn't touch old style (pre 90's?) rocker hold down nuts.
I have one of these motors at home. I will see what a dripper valve cover does.
