Custom Consoles
I believe the first pic is of groovyjay's console - the second one is of gyopp's console. How on earth did you guys customize them like this? Was it hard? Please, provide details. (I could be wrong as to who's console's they are...just going from memory here)

I talked to owner of the 2nd picture and he said he bought a cf kit from ebay. I can't remember the name of the vendor, but if you search on ebay you can find it. Though it will only fit 77-82's. I don't think they make one for the earlier c3's.

I had to modify my console to accomodate the Megashifter install and I also wanted to remove the ashtray, relocate the window switches, and add my NOS controls. I also installed a power point for the G-tech or radar detector. I cut my plastic top panel to accomodate the new openings. I drew my new layout with autocad and had a friend cut me a peice of stainless steel sheet metal with his CNC mill for an overlay. I then sent this to the Carbon fiber kit manufacturer and they made me a custom piece. The piece cost $100 but it was worth it.

Gyopp, Can u provide me with a parts list for this conversion? Like what kind of shifter you used and what type of switches yu used for the windows... really like your setup.

This is probably a stupid question, but I really like the look of the megashifter over the stock shifter. I have an automatic tranny...Can I use the megashifter on the console even though I don't have a manual tranny?
