69 Trim Ring Help
I have the standard rally's on my 69 and broke one of the clips on one of the trim rings - since it was also dented I bought the repro trims from Mid America ($89.99 for four) - While in the catalog they are described as "stainless steel" the box arrived and they are labelled "triple chrome plated stainless steel" - They seem a lot shinier than the stock pieces....
So the questions are:
1) Is there a vendor that restores OEM trim rings? (in other words can take out the dents and put in new clips?)
2) is anyone using the repros and what is the opinion of the appearance vs. OEM
3) who has the cheapest price on the OEMs??

One of the aftermarket providers (Corvette Central, possibly) has a kit to replace the clips on your trim rings. Supposed to be DIY.
I tend to keep my original 4-clips only for special occasions. For daily use, I run the repro veri-clip variety. No problems with those.
