Is this on a certain tear vette, or your RC airplane?

WOW that would be some RC Airplane with a new 650 cfm holley carb fitted - I am no expert but I guess he is talking about his vette Anyway if it was his Airplane this thread would now be 6 pages long with people flaming him for not posting in OT
I too would be interested in the throttle cable info as my 82CE occasionaly revs a little high on idle when it is warmed up . I am unsure if it is something to do with the throttle bodys on the xfire injection or if it could be something as simple as the throttle cable sticking? Its deosn't do it all the time so its a bit of a mystery
It shows 75-81 to be the same cable, I installed one of these on my 82
Most cables are held in by molded pressure clip at the firewall, you remove it by applying pressure on the tabs from the inside and the end that goes in the interior that actuates the accelerator rod by sliding through a split that big enough for the wire to pass through but catches the ball/ molded part.
The only complications is trying to get up in there to remove / install the cable.....it's a back breaker and there isn't much room to work with. It might help to remove the drivers seat and the trim below the column. Long arms and small hands are a plus too
Best advice is to purchase a new cable, look at a AIM manual, and dive right in ....thats how I learned.
