I hear you buddy. BTW today I was moving some things around and there was that Mag you sent me, so I again went threw it and thought of you.
I use Frontpage for most simple pages, not free, but VERY easy to use. If you wantr a real professional page, then Dreamweaver is the software of choice, but alas, not free either.

Check out NVU which is an open source program for building HTML. I've been using it on Macs, and Linux. I don't do Windoze so I can't comment there, but they have a port for it. http://www.nvu.com/index.php

NVU is what my kid's school uses for HTML.
I think I will be getting it, too ... and Apache to serve from my house.
