Default Amer. Racing Torque Thrust wheels

What's the difference between the American Racing Torque Thrust "D" wheels and the American Racing Torque Thrust "II" wheels? I don't see a difference from the pictures.

The 'D' is chromed alloy
The II is polished alloy

The D is a one piece cast aluminum wheel, the spokes and mounting hub are an integral part of the wheel (also the spokes come out straight with a slight ridge on the top)

The TT 2 is a two piece wheel, there is the center section and the outer section (hoop) and they are welded together (hence more options for offset) The spokes are more rounded and arc away then slightly back to the mounting face.

The D will probably need a slight spacer to clear the vettes stock calipers, the TT 2 wont.

Nick is correct: the IIs can be constructed/custom made with quite a number of configurations by mating different spoke sizes with the outer rims (again different sizes). In the case of my 1967 I needed a 15 x 6" wheel (6" to clear fenders) with 3 3/8" backspacing and about +1/8" offset. They took about eight weeks to produce but that is what I received.

Back when these were first sold, the Torq-Thrust "D" was the wheel that was clearanced for "Disk Brakes" but that might not be the case with the newer versions.
