Hey guys I am brand new to being a Shark owner!

Can you guys tell what is the best way to dye or paint the e brake console and door pulls handles or any other interior parts. I have ordered some of the spray can dye does it work well and how should I prep it. I know this is probably basic stuff to you guys but I have to start somewhere as I have a whole lot to learn. Just trying to do little cosmetic stuff that I can handle before getting into the heavy stuff. I hope to learn alot from you guys

thanks

D

p.s. The interior is 69 saddle in color

I think Corvette America makes a dye and primer. Get the primer to help the paint stick to the interior pieces. It may not work with everything, but I am sure others know more than me.

You might want to post this in the General forum, as this forum is Parts for Sale.

Welcome!

clean the parts you are going to dye very well. denatured alcohol works very well for this. wipe it all down and then spray the parts lightly several times. with this stuff, a lot of light coats works the best. i have have very good luck with spray dyes. this is the first thing i did when i got my first c-3 also. the forum is a great place to get info on just about anything you need to know. welcome

as posted above the general or tech section would be the place to ask these kinds of questions in the future.

Rattle can will work, but you will probably get a better color match using SEM automotive interior dye available from automotive paint suppliers. Take a piece of your saddle trim to a SEM dealer and they can probably match the color and mix a quart for you.

Sprays like lacquer.
