I'm expecting......a new toy real soon. So I decided to prepare my garage by cleaning it up and preping it for my new baby. I acid etched then power washed the floor. Then I painted two coats of Rustoleum two part epoxy with specks. Then I applied two coats of Rustoleum Professional two part epoxy clear. While that was drying, two weeks, I painted the walls white, and painted logos for each of my wheeled toys. What do you think?
Looks great, except you need to mark out the porsche and put VW over it . Just kidding. I like the 914's just fine. Is it a 4 or 6? And whats the new toy? An F-40 or an Enzo?
Thanks. Stay tuned. I have a concrete rv pad on the side of the house where my two post lift is. I put the cars over there and covered them. I get teased a lot about the 914 until I take them for a ride. If you look under the work bench you'll see a 3.0 liter 911 engine. Someday that 914 will grow up to be a 914-6.
Bee Jay,
The Garage and the cars look awesome. The projector for the images works out really well. I did this 9 years ago for my Daughter's Disney Nursery and everyone commented on what an artist I was. If they only knew...
I am starting on the foundation for a garage. What are your dimensions? Height?
My three car garage is 20ft deep and 38ft wide. The garage is 9ft tall but there is a load bearing beam right across the width, so that eliminates the possibitlity of putting my lift indoors. If you go with three car, or four car, make the distance between the doors as large as possible. That extra space is golden.
I'll be painting my floor in about a month, is the coating you put on slippery when wet?
I put the sprinkles down which gives the floor a granite look, but also limits slip a little, but then I clear coated it. So, yes, it is slippery when wet. But it doesn't rain much here, and I don't play with the toys in the rain, so it's no big deal.Rustoleum includes some additive that makes the floor anti-slip, but I didn't use it. I guess where it snows and rains a lot, that would be important.

I did mine with the non-stick stuff and extra sprinkles, but used the same brand that Bee Jay used, take a look:
Nice teener!
I had to sell my '73 to finish my vette. GT kit, 2056, exhaust, 911 brakes and susp, lowered, sways, gauges, console, blah blah blah. It was completely set up, I miss the heck out of it. There's something about shifting a wailing, wide open throttled little motor and knowing you are getting 30mpg while doing it LOL.
Were you ever on 914club.com?

Yep. I did that and the Pelican Parts forum for years. Heavy as I restored my 914 between 96 and 02. Haven't been over there much lately. I think all of the contreversy has settled down, but now there are two forums in it's place. I know, confusing. I'm here now and some in Ferrarichat.com.
