I guess I'm a visual person, 'cuz this is a bit hard to picture without a picture.
I'll put some thought into this and see whether it seems doable and worth effort. I haven't seen many sets of fiero seat available.
What I have now is some ugly late 70's vinyl, so I might just hack up what I have with carving the foam for the speaker so to fit, and punch a pattern of holes for the sound to penetrate.
I bought my fereo seats from a junkyard, cost 50 bucks for both.
Only the early years fereo's had the speakers in the seats,as an option.84 and 5s i think. not sure about the 86s.
bought them from garys u-pull it,in Binghamton NY. You should have no problems in finding these seats.

I found a set of Recaro seats that fit my 63. Need recovering, $75 for both. They came with Bose speakers in the headrests. Don't know what they are out of though.
Those are some pretty fugly seats. Who ever re-covered them didn't know what they were doing. I'd replace the seat covers with Mr. Mikes right away. Decent price for the core though.
They look great, but the link says the covers are $700.00 +
Well, you get what you pay for. But you're right, $700 is a lot of cash, but I'll personally testify that Mr. Mikes is by far the best aftermarket seat cover I have ever seen. I would even go as far as saying better than factory! It's too bad he doesn't step up and start offering Corvette covers.
And no I do not work for him and no I do not get kick backs.
These works great, when used together with some bigger ones
inside the car, to to handle the bass.
The seats came with my car, and I discovered the speakers 1/2 a year after I bought it.

This looks exactly like my buddy's miata seats, complete with easy access zipper. any idea what seats you have in your car? Also, is that a set of speakers in the back storage area? are those standard?
I've seen enough sets of fiero seats across the US, but shipping can be a bit pricy...haven't check any local junkyards, etc.
He has both the l/h and r/h sides up for sale. Ebay has them up for sale all the time. pease
FYI: it wasn't the seats I was having trouble picturing, it was the mounting into a C3. Thanks for the links, though; I'd already exchanged some email with one of the sellers, but shipping is pricy diagonally across country.

They are Miata seats, so if "original" is not a must, those are in fact , very comfortable, and fit nice.
There are actually 2 sets of speakers back there. One 10", and one 8" in each side.
(not standard). + one set in kickpanels, it works great, even with roof off.
And I have the Chambered Exhaust!
my miata buddy says miata seats come up pretty cheaply fairly often on craigslist/ebay/etc.
This could be cool if they mount easily.
It still would be nice to mount some big speakers where rockn'nold did...
