I noticed there was one factory 77 car painted Chartruse color. Does anyone know why that was? What happend to it? Where is it now? Pictures?
I've been trying to find pictures of that poor car for ages.

I think you're mixing up stories. The Corvette Chartreuse was a standard-issue paint color, but only one car was ordered that way. It wasn't a special issue. There is a documented pink C2 that a GM biggie ordered for his wife, IIRC...
I was curious about this seemingly "lost Corvette" too. Last year I went so far as to have my paint shop run the GM code and mix a sample of the color. Here is what it looked like. I took the picture outside in natural light so it would show the truest in a photo to post.
The original '77 painted Corvette Chartreuse had a black interior. I think with this color combination the car probably looked pretty good.
Does anyone have a picture of any C3 painted Chartreuse? Just to see what it would look like. Maybe someone in Corvette History section would know more? Would be a great story to find out for sure for the trivia hound.
