Newbie needs help unlocking door!!!
Hello, we just bought a 1973 Corvette Stingray. My problem is that when i locked the driver door with the key it made a popping noise and i didnt think anything of it. The next morning i tried to get it open and it wont open. I can push the door latch on the inside and the outside of the door and it sounds like its makeing contact but it wont unlatch. The unlock levers are worn down and wont work, Is there ANYWAY to pop the lock on the drivers dor so i dont have to get in and out "Dukes of Hazard style"? thanks for anyhelp you can give

i think i have had the same problem. What i had to do till i replaced the latch was to push the door handle like i was trying to open it and then while holding it put the key in and turn the key, once the key stopped i released the handle and i would hear a "pop" sound and then you could turn the key to the left and then right again and it would go the rest of the way. It takes a little bit sometimes but good luck!
