Vent on Driver side Not Working
Anyone ever had the mechanism/cable that connects the dashboard pull-**** to the actual vent door(s) apart?
The a/c and outside air vent works great on the passenger side (pull-open/push-close), but nothing on my side no matter if the **** is pushed in or pulled out. Always closed.
Mine is like that also. Look under there and you may just need to spray a little WD-40 on the pivot points. It get's surface rust and becomes dificult to move.

There is a lever attached to the butterfly in the duct. Then a rod that goes from the lever to the pull ****. Sounds like one of the two is disconnected or broken.
Here's a picture.

Thanks for the pic Duke.
Looks like I'm missing the plastic ductwork that goes to the cowl vent hole from the diverter. I'm also not seeing the vacuum actuator for the kickpanel vent, but there is one on the passenger side. Another project.
Update:
Here's the missing duct that connects the driver side vent to the plenum, and I've discovered that A/C cars don't have a vent door or hole above it to the cowl on the driver side. The driver side vent is fed through the plenum via the above duct.
Some days my learning curve is better than others.
