I had Chuck Pelton put on a leather cover on my stock 72 wheel. He did a beautiful job and the wheel feels 100% better. It is sewn on the inside like you want. Chuck is here on the forum and has done many wheels and might even just swap yours out. He came highly recomended and I would say his work is top notch. 
Chuck has done two stock 73 wheels for me. Very pleased. Fair price and quick turn around tme. I like the stock wheel with the leather on it.

Doing a little research on the web I found that Superior Industries makes a nice leather cover that threads on to your wheel. They call theirs Superskin. I found that my local Pep Boys carried them so I drove over last night and picked one up and installed it on my 73' wheel after taking the wheel off the car. Pep boys gets $16.99 for this Leather Cover. I got to admit it is one heck of a job to do and from never doing one before it took me close to 3 hours to stitch my wheel up with the new black leather cover taking my time doing so. All and all I think I did a good job. The wheel looks good but the C-3 wheel is still a thin wheel unlike what we have on newer cars today. Does anyone know what brand of leather cover Chuck is using? I am just curious. Got to give him credit for doing them. Its not a easy job in the least and very time comsuming.
