Default Big Block Guys, Quick Question

OK, this is more of a vanity issue than anything else. I'm getting ready to build my big block for my '81. I can use either a Bowtie Pro Stock block or a Dart Big M. When I look at my smallblock, it looks like the framerail is just about even with the deck of the block. When I measure and compare a small block and a big block, it looks like the deck is about 1" above the framerail. The only reason that this matters is that if it will show, I'd like to be able to be able to hold a mirror on the frame rail and show the Bowtie if I want to. Like I said, it's a vanity thing, I'm spending a lot on a race engine for the street, I'd like to be able to show it's "pedigree" if I want to. If the big block mounts drop it back down to the same level as the smallblock and it couldn't be seen anyway, I can get the Dart block cheaper.
Thanks for your help, guys!

I'm not going to judge your vanity, but I can say for sure that C3 small and big block motor mounts are the same.

Thanks for the info - I wasn't sure if big blocks used different stands, etc. I do seem to remember that the 307 was an oddball, but that's neither here nor there.
Still looking to hear from someone about whether or not the deck actually is an inch or so above the framerail.

Next time I'll take a worklight and get a better look at what I'm trying to see. Frame is well clear of engine at the point I was questioning, so height doesn't matter at all.
