The 69 L-88 has a 2" exhaust! the radiator is tiny, no fan shroud, no seals, you just look at this thing and think, "What the heck can you do with this? You sure can't drive it on the street!"
so.... it is still fun to view these things as museum pieces. My pics look a lot like yours! It was dark in there for picture taking.
This white 69 435 hp coupe (blue interior) was a fresh restoration. Looked like a new car. The owner drove it from Philadelphia to get the extra mileage points.

This maroon 68 L-88 I think was in for performance verification. Must be very tough to PV an L-88. Unfortunately I did not get to look closely at this one and I didn't see the owner.

This car was just on display. I like it because I also own a 68 International Blue. This was a smallblock - looked like a new car

This LT-1 allegedly was formerly owned by Rowdy Rat. He was supposed to be there today but I didn't see him.

A close inspection of your pics reveals..... you got me in one!
Here I am... red T-shirt, blue vest, black corvette baseball cap, standing next to the white 69.

I can't believe we missed you...we probably walked right past and didn't recognize you. We did catch up with quite a few friends there, some we haven't seen in some time.
So you were OJing huh....I might want to try that one of these days.
It's a real nice show and if anyone has the chance today they should stop by and check it out.

I'll tell ya, I have been to NCRS meets where there have been NO 68s at all, and most of the 68s and 69s that I have seen at NCRS meets have been 435 hp cars. Probably seen more L-88s than smallblocks! It's kind of a joke, when we do see a smallblock 68 or 69 we refer to "that rare smallblock engine option" !

Awesome cars. Too bad they are at the level that you can't justify driving them except to get extra points. I know the amount of work involved to get them to that level, been there done that. Get caught in a rainstorm you stop under an overpass and wait till the sun dries the road, or roll through a mudpuddle it takes 2 days of hard work to get close to where you were and it will never be the same.

Mileage points are added to raw score at the rate of 45 per 100 miles driven, up to 10% of your raw score maximum. The car must score at least 75% to be eligible for these points.
