I would not trust the gas being usable even with addng stabilizer now, not even if it was added 4 years ago, it only works for a short period, drain it as completely as possible, lines/carb. Good Luck, Peace,,,Moosie

Drain it now. While you're changing fluids, might want to change brake fluid too. Maybe anti freeze too.

After sitting 4 years the calipers piston bores could also be rusted. Do a real thorough check of all the major systems etc... to be safe. It'll be great to drive it again I'm sure!

If you have a compressor then stick your siphon tube in the tank. Take another tube (smaller diameter is better) and put that in the tank as well but leave it out of the gas. Stuff a rag around both tubes to make it somewhat air tight (it doesn’t have to be a perfect seal). Take your compressor air gun and pump air into your tank through the small hole until gas starts coming out of your siphon tube. Once you get to this point you are good to go. No need to taste gas.

I drove this car home from the oil change shop on 1988 and it has been parked ever since. When checked the oil this spring it still
had that carmel color to it. I poured a 1/2 can of Seafoam into the crank case and drove it about 70 miles. When I drained the oil it was
thin as water and nearly black in color. The engine runs very smooth and quiet.

How could you let that beautiful car sit for 19 years?

I would change that oil again after running it enough to empty that gas tank.
I would also change out the coolant fluids. Check the brakes calipers and rotors, Bleed the brake fluid. Check the tires as well, they don't like sitting long like that.

These items may work fine now, but it sure isn't going to hurt any may prevent a major headache later.

Dang that reminds me I need to get my brakes bleed and coolant changed soon.

A little preventive maintance goes a long way.
