Tranny leak
I noticed lately that 82 has started leaking a bit when it sits for more than 2 weeks-doesnt as long as I drive it daily, which I don't want to do. I'm wondering if this is the beginning of major problem or just something I can live with. Any suggestions?

My '82 leaked some at first. I was able to tighten the bolts...I should say snug the bolts up on the pan. Don't over tighten them or she'll really start leaking on you. Use a small ratchet and use one hand to snug them up. This got mine through the summer and in the fall we put her on a friends lift, dropped the pan and filter and replaced the gasket. The 25 year old gasket held up pretty well. I've done it on my back before, very messy job.
