Well, I complained enough about how long it took, but my 1979 L48 mostly original car arrived at Midnight Sunday. Please forgive the dirty car fresh off an open transport, the photos were taken about 6am Memorial Day. Bought the car from my Dad, who's had it since April 1990. It has 78,000 miles and is solid through and through. Interior is an 8.5 out of 10, paint is a 5, mechanical is golden with only some minor issues. She may be slow and common, but I went to 2 proms and drove away from my wedding in this car. To me, she's one of a kind.

Thanks for the congrats, y'all. I don't know what I did wrong with the pics, but thanks to boog for doing whatever needed doing to get them to show up. Props to you. :o
For now, I like it just the way it is. BTW, put more miles on it in the last 3 days than have gone on it in the last 3 years....literally. It seems to be liking the exercise, running smoother, starting more easily, etc. The only problem is a loose dip stick tube causing a small oil leak. I'll work on it today. I really like this forum, but it's nothing compared to enjoying my 'Vette.
I know what you mean...My Dad bought a Bright Yellow 74 coupe brand new from Humberview Chev Olds in Etobicoke Ontario. I grew up with that car. It was totally part of the family. Now Dad is 80 years old and the Vette (the same one) is now in my garage here in New Jersey. I cant imagine ever parting with it. Its been in my life for 33 years and 2 countries!
