1969 Locks
Refresh my memory on the '69 C3. Did the square key for the ignition also fit the door locks. Or should the oval key fit the doors? I know the oval should fit the spare tire.

Starting in '74 the square key did the ignition and the doors.

on my 73, the square key does the doors and the ignition while the oval key does the glove box, spare tire lock, and the alarm.
is this not the way they came from the factory in 73?

I believe '69 was the same. (Square key = Ignition/doors, Round key = Spare tire/glove box/ and alarm (If so equipped)

So, for 73 and earlier the square key handled ignition and doors. The oval key did the rear storage compartment and alarm.
For 74 and later, the square key was ignition only and the oval was door, rear storage, and alarm.
