Personally, I'm not a fan of tinted windows, but its strickly my personal taste. You drive a Vette man; why hide behind tinted windows??

tinting the windows does help when the car sits in the sun.car does not heat up as much .it can protect the interior.i dont like the real dark tints because its hard to look out of at night ,like when you back up to park .personel preference

I like tint but I don't think it works well with a few colors. I would suggest having someone photoshop a picture of your Vette with the windows tinted so you can see what it'll look like.

It'll only cost you about $175 at a GOOD shop and I suggest doing your homework before you drop it off somewhere. You want years of experience and not some snot nosed high school kid who can't wait to get off work every day. If it's done by the wrong person you'll have daylight gaps all the way around the edge since these old cars didn't have that black border around all the glass.

Not to rain on your parade because I like tinted windows myself but you should look into the legality of tinted windows, % etc in your jurisdiction. May make it hard to get inspected or attract unwanted attention from the local authorities. Also bear in mind that most cars came with a slight bit of tint in the windows from the factory, especially a/c cars. When you couple this small amount with a supposedly legal shade of window film you are probably going to be over the limit. In some jurisdictions its a 35% light reflection figure. Just some advice,

I have real dark tint on my vette and it looks good. Plus it helps the AC work. No problem with the laws as there is no enforcement of any kind here.

If it too dark here in california, Police give you a fix it ticket to have removed. I have had 3 fix it tickets on my truck. But boy it sure looks good.
But i was just thinking about a light tint on the windows for the uv protection.

It certainly does keep the interior cooler especially on the later fishbowl vettes with the large greenhouse rear window. You car is really nice by the way, good luck with it,

I like tint. I bought mine this way, but I would have put it on if it didn't have it.

My vote is for tinted windows but be careful and get quality tint. There is a somewhat newer style tint that is made out of porcelin that does not interfer with radio waves, etc. such as radar detectors allowing your radar detector to work its best uninterupted. I got the porcelin stuff made by Formula one. It was $125 for 2 windows.
