Default 1974 LT-1 Engine??

I found this tonight on Craigs List.
Did they make a LT-1 engine in 1974.
Not that I can think of.

No but I understand they could be purchased as crate motors from GM. This guy may have an L-82 that he thinks in an LT1. The L-82's have the good heads, forged pistons, steel crank.. Just a thought.

Funny enough, I bought an "LT-1" engine not far from San Mateo. It came with the optional hydraulic lifters. I only needed the block in any case, so I didn't argue with the guy.

I would think that if you watch Craigslist long enough, you'll find an L88 350 listed at some point.

That is probably what it is. Could be a typo, could be a '70 LT1 dirt cheap.....

I think it is more likely a person selling something that he really doesnt understand. It may be that he knows the LT-1 name, and therefore a 4 bolt main must be the HiPo version of vette engines.

Plus the price of only $250 for a LT-1 engine? Really?

They are ALL "LT-1's" untill you travel there and look at them.

Could be an engine out of an LT-1 Camaro.
