Do those rubber mounting nuts hold the mirror secure enough to the door that it doesnt crack the fiberglass. not sure if i want to drill those holes. thanks Al

Mine has been on for 4 years with no problems. The well nuts hold just fine.

They work fine. I added my mirror earlier this year and it was very easy to do. Do not over tighten as you would not want to strip anything.

Good luck,
Dino

Yep, work great. Installed mine 3 years ago. Can't do w/o a right side mirror with a Vette. Besides, I'm to old to turn around!

This is probably a dumb question, but.....If you use the well nuts, can you install the mirror without taking the whole door apart? Or do you have to get your hands in to the inside surface of the door.....

Mine has been on there for MANY years with no issues. (20 years I'd guess). And no srosa75 you need not remove a single nut or screw to install the additional mirror. It mounts completely from the outside. Shouldn't take you longer than 15-20 min even if you take your time.

You'll need to get inside the door.

As I recall, I didn't have to take the door apart. Well Nut goes in from the outside and expands on the inside when you tighten the screw. The stock rear deck rack is held on the same way.
