I took the motor out of my 81 last summer. I am starting to put things back together, minus the computer. Could someone please tell me what the 2 threaded holes in the thermostat housing are for, I totaly forgot!
Is one for the water temperature gauge? I think one has to do with sending a signal to the computer, but I am not putting the computer back in with the new motor. Thanks for any help. I'm telling you, old age sucks! I'm forgetting everything lately.
The 2 TVS holes in the thermostat housing are for the EGR and the Evap canister. There is a sensor in the drivers side head that is for the gauge
There is a temp sensor in the manifold next to the thermostat that is for the ECM
