I have an all original 79 L82 4 speed with 29,000 original miles and I love it. I bought it 6 years ago with 14,000 miles on it and it was like a brand new car. I like the body style and the interior along with the rubber bumpers. You will have a lot of naysayers bout the 79 like a kazillion was made etc. I enjoy mine and I would buy it again...........LT[/QUOTE]

Great feedback, and restores some of my hope! L82 has some pep to it eh?? I'm hoping for the best, as I've seen the insides and outsides of this car, and it is allll original!

Without bashing the '79...they are the heaviest and one of the lowest powered C3's ever made.

Remember...almost all C3's have the same trouble spots. Look at lots of cars before you buy. There are lots of them out there so dont be in a hurry.

test drove the 79 L82, works fine, except for the BRAKES, had to floor it to get it to stop; that and it veered right while braking. I told em to have it checked out; is that something serious, or just new pads?
