Default 73' with removable rear window

Did any of the 73' year vettes make it out of the factory with removable rear windows? Found a 73' by the vin # with a build date of 12/72 and it has a removable window.

The removeable rear window ended in 1972. However, Corvette's from 73 to 77 can be modified to use the exact same glass and parts from 68-72 to become a removeable rear window car.

There are a couple threads on this around.

This mod is definitly on my list, but way down after a lot of other stuff.

Not sure if any accidentally made it out of the factory with the removeable window. It was definitly not orderable in 73.

No. A PO has added the the removable window on the car your're looking at. It's a popular swap and should include the tray for window storage.

Only if you want to spend the money. Lots of people swap in the window without the tray.

My car was built 12/1/72 and does not have a removable rear window.

I have seen 73 coupes with VIN numbers less than 100 and none had a removeable rear window.

The AIM shows a fix rear window, plus the dealer literature and magazine road tests stated it was fixed.

I have installed the removable rear window in the two '73's that I have owned. The current parts came primarily from ebay. I like the storage tray and I believe it is worth the $100 or so.
