Gas Cap Replacement
Went today to buy a new gas cap replacement for my 81.
I was given two (2) choices. "Vented" or "Pre-vented".
I didn't buy either one.
Which is the correct one or does it not make any difference?

Hi
68-69 vented gas cap.
70-74 non vented gas cap.
74-82 ???? gas cap.
On 70 -74 non vented gas cap use becuase of the vapor system, but I prefferd the vented gas cap because if you have a good close fuel system it will prevent a vacuum in the gas tank.

It depends on what you have for a fuel system. The stock fuel pump had a return line and an unvented fuel cap. I have an after market Holley without a fuel return line and I don't have a vapor canister, so I had to switch to a vented cap.
