Default Consule forward trim

I have a 1970 and tidying up the interior.

How does the forward trim attach to the consule?

Mine has a single screw, it doesnt look right and it twists around not sitting straight.

Are we talking about the centre gauge console ? The bezel attaches at the top with just one central screw but there are 2 down each side. If that's your problem be very careful playing with that bezel - they were designed to break in the event of a crash and will not withstand and rough treatmet. I know this from bitter experience.

No the lower part, painted the interior colour. 2 forward panels that contact the carpet. I noticed a Zip catalogue talked about a passenger side extension as you can see in behind them.

Trim screws or clips, depends on the year. Got the AIM? AIM will show the installation.

On the '70 there is a tab on the top of that panel - tuck that in and
line up the screw hole - use a screwdriver/etc to locate it as that entire
console "falls down from wear" and it may be hard to find.
