What does C06 mean?

Default What does C06 mean?
On my tag on the door it reads

Chevrolet C06

Paint is 972 Can-am white

Trim is 416 Green vinyl

Is it a RPO# ?


Car is a 69 conv.

If you mean the metal tag on the door frame near the upper hinge, that is the build date.

If it is the same as my '73 C06 would be a build date of Oct 6th 1968.

OK thanks

My Vin last 6 are 715521 which I thought meant a Jan-Feb date?

So the body was made in late 68 and the car finished and issued a VIN in JAN-FEB ?

Sound right?

My guess is that the tag is "G06" indicating a 6 February 1969 build. The "C" and "G" are easily misread.

I looked at my trim tag and mine definitely looks like C14
My car in 16388
Feb 14th
911 Can Am White
411 Bright Blue

Yup. That is the build date. E = December. So mine was built 12/01/72. The tank sticker says the same thing.

A = August
B = Sept
C = October
etc.
