Hopefully a nice easy one...on the Vette are the majority of threads UNC and UNF? ( or neither ) and do you use SAE wrenches?
Was talking to an engineer over here and was suprised at the amount of different threads used throughout the world. The guy makes custom nuts and bolts for people all over the world for special and one off applications....his workshop was supa From the latest CNC machines to lathes over 100 yrs old!

The majority are coarse thread (UNC), but there are also many fine thread. Once you approach the years where the US got suckered into thinking they should go metric, you could have some metrics also (they would be the ONLY "neither").

You'll find some of each. Almost everything is SAE, but some metric sizes were beginning to creep in by 1980.

You have no idea....if you ever need to be put to sleep....go pick up a Machinery Handbook, the amount, size, variety of threads is AMAZING. They even have British threads.....no kidding............

One thing I have discovered - there are a LOT of 3/8-16 fasteners in a C3.

I have the mixed variety! The advantage of having SAE and Metric is when an SAE bolt is severely corroded a metric socket fits with gentle persuasion by the hammer. Oh, by the way, '77 in the Great White North.
