In 1968, fiber optic light monitors provided the driver with knowledge of what lights were working via monitors on the center console. These lasted until 1971. Many were repaired wrongly, with body shops soldering the "wires" back together and wondering why they didn't work. Often, malfunctioning fiber optics are signs of old body damage.
I saw Bubba yesterday, couldn't get close enough with the camera phone do cocument him tho. He was driving a maroon eclipse vert. I guess the vert top had leaked and pissed him off, so he has that foam stuff in a can (Good Stuff at home depot) smeared all over the top, completely covering the top about 2" thick, looked like the cake your 7 yr old sister frosted.
At some point, there was some minor body damage between the headlights. The body work's so-so and you can see some cracks returning. What bubba did though, is between the left inner headlamp frame and body looks like a flat 2" by 4" by 1/4" thick oval shaped sliver of slate wedged in there! WTF!
I've also got 2 1 1/2" sheet metal screws in both lower door panels, bubba exhaust which is ok and solid, but will eventually replace.
Stuff that's missing like ignition shielding, rear window storage tray, t-top straps in the rear compartment, incorrect year speedo (white graphics instead of green), incorrect tach (5300 red line instead of 6000 for L-46, I'm sure I'll discover more in time but I hope not!
Until I can work myself up to paying $45 apiece for new pillar moldings.... I used some finely crafted silicone shaped and sculpted where the vinyl and foam was missing, then , with some interior dye, I spray bombed them. They look great. Or like total crap, I can't decide.

I found one white gauge in mine instead of green. Bubba don't know the difference, you see ,Bubba is also color blind. Didn't you see those eyes in the photo?

Yep, That would qualify you as being a bubba ,Jay Dog. But we will excuse you this time since it is a matter of money but get that fixed before too many people notice. BJ
