So, I finally received my new carpet kit for my Vette. Last night I go down to remove the driverside kick panel, scrape off the old dingy carpet. Easy enough...
I open the box from Ecklers (ACC Carpet) and much to my chagrin, the new kick panel carpet peice looks like it was cut out by a 5 year old, by memory!!
I'm not kidding. The carpet does NOT even come close to matching the kick panel. Quite frankly, it looks like sh57! Tell me...Aren't kick panels the same from 68 to 82? That's a lot of little peices of carpet that are all identical. Why in the heII couldn't they get the simple little peice of carpet to match a little peice of kick panel is astounding!?!?!
Has anyone else had new carpet issues (fit & finish) from Ecklers/ACC brand?
I am reluctant to pull out the rest of my carpet because if just the kick panel is any indication of quality and fit, what is the rest going to fit like?
I'll post a pic when I get home. Actually, if this weren't mine, I'd probably laugh about the comical attempt at correct cutting.
