Default 69 Steering column Decal

I need to know the proper location for the decal that goes on the steering column. It is a clear decal that say's :

THIS IS A ROTATING INTERLOCK
DO NOT MANIPULATE
DAMAGE MAY RESULT

(is this correct for a 69?)

Thanks

Are you sure that the 1969 Corvette had that decal? The plastic shroud on a Corvette column is stationary and covers the rotating bowl.

So the statement on the decal doesn't apply to a Corvette.

according to the AIM, there was a sticker of some kind ...

UPC 9, A1 shows regular steering with sticker #3966618 (was 3960380) added in October 1968.

UPC N37, A1 for the tilt-tel option shows a production sticker.

Can't find any information what the sticker actually says, except all the corvette parts places only show this particular sticker ...
My early build '69 (Nov 68) does not have a sticker (tilt/tel) and does not appear to ever had one, but someone may have done a good cleaning job also ... ???

According to the 1968-69 NCRS manual, page 9, 3rd edition,
a caution label was applied to the left side of the steering column ....

early label (Oct 68) reads ... 'as part of the new locking column feature, it is normal for the mast jacket shift bowl to rotate when shifting the transmission, However, do not attempt to rotate the shift bowl by itself as damage to the shift linkage will result'

Later the decal changed to: 'This is a rotating interlock - do not manipulate - damage may result'

The early label appears in Oct 1968 and runs to July 1969. The 2nd label appears in July/August 1969. Later in production, the column was again modified and the bowl does not rotate, so the label was eliminated.

Jim, the bowl that the sticker is on rotates, maybe the column has been changed out?
