My '73 is no Lamborghini but for American technology in the early 70's it handles very well.

What the hell are you thinking? These things will send you to the poor house. Tough choice to make. Long term collectable, definitely a bumper car. Easy entry, most anything '74-'82. Fiberglass on later model cars is definitely better than the early ones, but the bumper cars do it for me even though I own an '80. I just happen to really like the '80-'82 cars and the prices on them are relatively cheap.

Give me a 1973 BB 4 speed A/C coupe anyday. $ for $ it'll be tough to beat.
What's a DDCART? Never heard of it.

1974 convertable 454 might fit the bill.

i remember looking for a vette a couple years ago. i was 15, and i wanted a car like my dad had back in the 60s. he first had a '67 427/390 4-speed vert, then a '68 427/390 4speed. well even 2 years ago i couldn't afford either, so i went with a 1977 which has a small block in it. sometimes i wish i would have gotten a big block and a vert, but after doing some things on the 350, it's still a very powerful engine. and i think the t-tops are also more practical for me as this is my daily driver...i don't think i'd every trade my ette for anything. i'll just buy another one

After doing a lot of research on various sites, I stumbled on GM Down Under in Costa Mesa, CA. John spent a TON of time answering my silly questions as I spent several hours in their shop. You may want to check-out their site (http://www.gmdownunder.com). They shoot straight and they really love Corvettes...
Thanks. I may take a trip down there.
