Default Anyone using round projection headlights?

I've been looking into fixed headlights lately. I kinda like the monza headlights, but don't like the square headlights. I haven't seen too many round and most seem custom when they are, but haven't seen any of the projections style lights used in a c3. Anyone here have them or pictures of them? It seems to me that with the monza kits you could instead install the round projections lights for a cool look to it. Any ideas?

There was a guy many months ago who was going to use Hella projections but I don't recall ever seeing the results.

I have the patterns you'd need to make the new bucket and templates and such if you're in need of that information.

The popups could be pulled out and fixed brackets could be made pretty easy.Mine are totally custom but there are others out there.Heres another set that I thought about using. They could be recessed back in the stock holes also.

Please post some pics when you are finished. I think these would look great. Not traditional, but I really like the possiblities.

It will be a long time, because there is a lot of glass work involved. I won't be painting my Vette until much later this year or even next spring. I will for sure be posting pics.

I can't remember the user's name, but he posted pics of his lights here in the past, and I saved this pic of them:

This is one place you can buy the Hella 90mm modules that he used in both HID and non-HID versions:
http://www.rallylights.com/hella/90mm_modules.asp

This is where you can buy the buckets and covers; templates for the buckets have been posted here several times if you wish to make them yourself:

Sorry to jump in like this but really, really like the looks of those carbon fiber headlight buckets. Just confused as to what they are for...are they made for Corvette or off aDatsun? Tried to go to atomicstreet web site but keep getting some comic book thing. I hate my pop up lights that don't pop up and would jump on those round fixed ones. Thanks, Ron...in the dark in San Diego

They're for a Nissan RX7 I believe. I got mine off of Ebay. Not cheap at all, but I think they look good and when they're glassed in and fixed it's have a C6 flavor.

Now I see... said the blind man. Do you know how close a fit the RX7 lights fit in the Vet openings and what would be a good way to fill them in...like add on to light housing if they are smaller? Don't think I would want to change opening on car in case I would want to change back sometime down the road.

You will have to cut out some of the opening both front and rear and fill in the sides. Also, a sub structure to support them will need to be constructed to support them from underneath.

If you want the original openings to remain unchanged then this mod is not for you.

Okay, here are some pics and dims. There are a few versions and shapes based on year and model of car it's intended for.

I picked this one as it fit the opening the closest but it'll require cutting and filling making it a fairly complicated modification.
